Crystal Consulting Group has been involved in Western water issues and environmental politics for over twenty-five years. The company has a record of accomplishment that includes:
- Representing organizations like American Land Conservancy and The Vital Ground Foundation on high profile water/land acquisitions and easements in some of the most political basins in the West.
- Changing water law in Idaho by developing a bipartisan, political coalition that included the key state environmental and agricultural organizations, including Idaho Rivers United and the Idaho Water Users Association.
- Development, funding and direction of some of most important ecosystem restoration efforts in the West for organizations like Oregon Trout.
- Identifying and securing thousands of acres in the West for combined water storage and wetlands.
- Directing water programs for international organizations, and fighting the corporate control of public water.
In addition to his work with Crystal Consulting Group, Managing Partner Rich McIntyre developed Timberline, Inc., the first consulting firm in the world to develop the applied science of stream restoration. His work was featured in The Wall Street Journal, Time, Smithsonian, CNN, The Today Show and many other media outlets. Rich also has an extensive political resume that includes staff work on four presidential campaigns, managing a US Senate race in Oregon and consulting on numerous Congressional and state legislative races.
